General Motors Earns Nine Nominations for North American Car/Truck of the Year

ST. LOUIS, Miss - Of the several nominees from various automobile companies, General Motors received nine vehicle nominations for North American Car and Truck of the Year! An independent jury of 60, ten more jurors than in prior years, will choose the 28 winners in the car category and 29 in the truck and utility category.

In 2014, Chevrolet snagged both titles for North American Car and Truck of the Year with the Corvette Stingray and the Silverado. Although there were no nominations for any of Chevrolet's cars this year, Chevy was recognized with several nominations in the truck and utility category. The winners of both the 2015 North American Car and Truck of the Year will be announced at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

The nine General Motors vehicles nominated for the North American Car and Truck of the Year are: the Cadillac ATS Coupe and V, the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Colorado, Suburban, Tahoe, and Trax, and the GMC Canyon, Yukon, and Yukon XL.
