Once Mike Trout was recognized as the 2014 Ted Williams Most Valuable Player, Chevrolet sent the MLB All-Star MVP home with a Corvette Stingray Z51. As the Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball® since 2005, it was Chevrolet's honor to give Trout a choice between the Corvette Stingray and Silverado full-size pickup. Trout was thrilled to be able to choose his own vehicle and undoubtedly had to go with the 2014 North American Car of the Year. Two Chevrolet Corvette Stingrays were at the game and had their hoods autographed by all of the All-Star players and coaches. One of the Stingrays is already up for auction on ChevyBaseball.com, which will continue until 5 PM EDT on August 1st. Chevrolet will provide the MLB and the Major League Baseball Players Association with the other autographed Corvette Stingray hood for auction. All proceeds will then benefit MLB Charities and the Players Trust, the 501 (c)(3) charitable organization created and administred by active Major Leagues.
It was a wonderful night of exceptional baseball and a great way to recognize the achievements of the 2014 MLB All-Star MVP, Mike Trout. We sure hope you enjoy your brand-new Corvette Stingray Z51, Mike!
