The Performance Traction Management system on the vehicle allows for faster lap times by maintaining the car's full power and momentum at all times. For an simpler explanation, let's break down how "flying car logic" works as well as its role in helping Camaro drivers stay on track:

The easiest statement to explain this system would be without "Flying car logic", tires would lose traction. Losing traction would require a reduction in torque in order to fully restore it. "Flying car logic" is combined with the Z/28's standard Performance Traction Management system (PTM) integrated with the chassis mode selection, Traction Control and Active Handling Systems. Each of these systems are specifically tuned in the Z/28 to obtain the best possible track performance and consistency. Even if for a split second the tires lose contact with the ground, the car's full power and momentum can be maintained with just the press of a button.

The "flying car logic" system uses ride-height sensors that are able to determine the reduction of force in the tires. This will allow the car to continue driving without interrupting its momentum. PTM is able to manage acceleration based on the current vehicle dynamics. In addition to this, five performance modes are available that can accommodate to various driving conditions.

Fact or Fiction: The Truth About Improving Fuel Economy

ST. LOUIS, Miss - You know the drill - gas prices shoot up, then they graciously drop down, they shoot right back up, and so on. Regardless of the amount per gallon, we are always looking for ways to save money at the pump. Thanks to Chevrolet's technological efforts, we have many fuel efficient vehicles at our finger tips. Myth: Non-chain, independent gas stations have poor quality fuel.

Myth: To save gas you should pay more.

Researchers from Edmunds.com reported that a pickup truck received almost 10% better gas mileage when driving with the windows down. Consumer Reports also stated that running the air conditioning while driving at 65mph can decrease your mileage by 1mph or more. However, others argue that the wind pulls the vehicle back when the windows are down, forcing the vehicle to work harder. Overall, it depends on the vehicle and the speed at which you are driving. The easy answer? Slower driving = better mileage. 

Myth: Early morning fill-ups get you more gas.
Fact or Fiction: FICTION. Whether you choose to fill up your tank before or after work, the amount of gas you receive will be the exact same. It is said that fluids are denser at lower temperatures, meaning you would receive a larger volume of gas. The truth is that your car is designed to keep the gas tank at a constant temperature and it will hold the same volume of gas no matter what time of day you fill up.

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Become More Efficient

Both the Tahoe and Suburban's 5.3L V-8 engines feature top-of-the-line technology that help all operating conditions within the vehicle function more efficiently. Improved aerodynamics, electronic throttle control and other functions help the engine operate in four-cylinder mode with Active Fuel Management for an extended period of time. The new 5.3L engine is based off of the design of the Small Block engine. Consumers can expect an EPA-estimated 16 mpg in the city and 23 mph on the highway (in two wheel drive). Those estimates calculate to a nearly 7 to 10 percent increase in city and highway mileage. Chevrolet Makes 5th Year Return to South by Southwest

ST. LOUIS, Miss— Chevrolet makes their fifth year return to South by Southwest; an event exposing attendees to advanced technologies, music showcases, and  dozens of educated speakers. Two of the "Most Loved Vehicles in America" Are....

ST. LOUIS, Miss - This past Valentine's Day, a research firm by the name of Strategic Vision released a list of vehicles that consumers just cannot get enough of. Strategic Vision surveyed new vehicle buyers, asking each of them to rank their vehicles in different categories from 1, meaning they hate it, to 7, meaning they love it. After a collection of emotional responses were totaled, Two of the "Most Loved Vehicles in America" Are...

Customers showed their true love for the Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Volt in the Strategic Vision survey! Each vehicle was ranked as the most loved car in their categories. Customers were asked to rank the vehicle based on commitment, overall satisfaction, total top emotional response, proposed repurchase loyalty, and actual repurchase loyalty. The Spark, most loved in the Micro Car segment, scored 612 out of 1000. The Volt was the most loved in the Small Alternative Powertrain Car segment, scored 601 out of 1000. Chevrolet drivers were asked to use heart over head, providing Strategic Vision with their emotional responses to each question.

Chevy's LGBT- Inclusive Ads Run During Sochi Olympics

ST. LOUIS, Miss - In case you haven't heard, Russia and its president Vladimir Putin, have enforced laws that ban "gay propaganda" and have been receiving a great deal of criticism. These vague, homophobic encouraged laws have forced people from all over the world to speak out. So, where does Chevrolet come into all of this? Chevy created LGBT- Inclusive Ads that Ran During the Sochi Olympics, speaking out against LGBT discrimination in the savviest of ways.

On Friday, February 7th, around noon Eastern, Chevy released two commercials onto YouTube. One for the all-new Chevy Traverse and the other, for the Chevrolet brand. But, what made these ads so different? Both commercials included LGBT families and same-sex weddings. The heart-warming ads made their debut on television during the broadcast of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia! Ironic? We think not.

The ads were created to make a statement - declaring Chevrolet and General Motors long-time support for LGBT equality and also criticizing the encouragement of homophobia in Russia and other countries around the world. A fair amount of companies have started to spread the word and support the LGBT community as welll and so far the public is on their side.
